In true Roundup fashion, the Independence Day Celebrations were a huge success.  The weather played along nicely for everyone to fully enjoy each day.  Two days of concerts, two days of parades, two days of Rodeo, and four days of carnival, flags, and Roundup Pride. Many people travel to Roundup just for this holiday, because Roundup is one of the best places in Montana to celebrate Independence Day for a great time in a small town.

This year, RIDE (Roundup Independence Days Extravaganza) brought us four days of entertainment with headliner Sawyer Brown and two tribute bands, Bed of Roses, and Renegade, as well as four days of Midway West Carnival.  Big contributors to RIDE, Signal Peak Energy, Briggs Distributing, Autumn’s Inn, Key Insurance, McCleary’s Conoco, Musselshell Valley Equipment, and Roundup Sky Lighters, helped make it another memorable holiday for the community and all our visitors.  RIDE is a group of community members who work throughout the year to plan for this holiday, and to make Roundup a very special place with memorable concerts and entertainment.

This year with the help of the Signal Peak Community Foundation, RIDE was able to make improvements for the Community Stage, as well as having extra lights and tents available for this year’s concerts.  RIDE diligently posts online of the scheduled events and advertises in advance.

The Parades were well attended, the market on Main, and local businesses enjoyed an opportunity for exposure that they do not always get.  Small, but Mighty, Roundup is a proud community, and it is seen every year on July 4th.
