Joe Picchioni
I was born in 1983 to Don and Toni Picchioni and raised in Roundup, MT, living here until graduating from Roundup High School in 2002. While growing up I spent a great deal of time enjoying sports, both playing and watching. Starting at a young age I worked for our family business, Picchioni’s IGA.
After graduating from RHS I attended Montana State University in Bozeman where I graduated in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Finance. While attending MSU I worked in sales and upon graduation moved to Boise, ID in the fall of 2006 to continue my sales career. In 2009 I decided it was time to join the family business and moved back to Roundup to partner with my brother, Dave, as fourth generation grocers. I have since served on various boards in our community and currently serve on the Roundup Memorial Health Care Foundation board in addition to serving on the Signal Peak Community Foundation board.
My wife, Cassie, and I were married on October 19, 2013 and we were blessed with our first daughter, Josephine, on October 20, 2017. We were then blessed with our second daughter, Leah, 2 years later August 8, 2019. We enjoy traveling when possible, but Roundup is home and we feel fortunate to live in and raise our daughters in this community.
Sandra Jones
After being widowed twice, I learned that broken lives can be healed and restored. I have been happily married to my husband David Jones since November of 1995. I am mother of two sons, with 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
I love music and have written and recorded several worship and praise songs. I am also a licensed, ordained minister and together with my husband David we were part of the Roundup Ministerial Association. Together we served as local pastors of a local church in the City of Roundup for 18 years. I also dispatched for my husband’s towing service business that served this community for over 33 years.
I wrote and published my first book. An autobiography titled a Journey Beyond My Dreams. It was released in January of 2022 and can be found on most of the marketing sites such as Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Walmart.
I am currently serving in my third term as the mayor of the City of Roundup Montana and I reside on several executive boards within the state, some of which include Montana League of Cities and Towns, the Governor’s Board for Community Service, and the Snowy Mountain Economic Development Board. As well as serving as the Chair Person for the Salvation Army Service Unit. I have also been an active board member of the Signal Peak Community Foundation since the board was created in September of 2011. I am proud to be a part of the incredible work that this Foundation has done in our small rural communities in Musselshell County.
I enjoy what I do and hope to continue to serve in my community as long as I have the health to do so.
Sue Olson
I was born and raised in Roundup, and my Dad was a coal miner. I graduated from Roundup High School and attended EMC. Moved to the family ranch when I was 18 and have been here ever since. I have 3 daughters, Sharon, Charlene and Susan, 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and another on the way. I have played the piano/organ for the St. Benedict’s choir since I was 10 years old.
I was the first woman county commissioner in Musselshell County and served for 18 years. Served on many state and local boards and was chairperson of the Oil, Gas and Coal Counties board for many years. I have run the family ranch mostly by myself, which I purchased from my ex-husband 40 years ago, and have finally turned it over to my grandson to keep in the family. It has been in the family over 100 years.
I am very proud to be a member of the Signal Peak Community Foundation and all the good that has been done in the community.
